‘It would be nice, if we ever have to get those motorway toll stickers they keep talking about for Belgium, if they threw in a copy of this book!’ The panel thought Transit Land was a great book. It contains endless series of photographs of what you can see from a car travelling through Belgium, all arranged on the page according to a strict grid and archived on the basis of the last exit passed. Anyone who has ever driven through Belgium instantly knows: this is Belgium. The cover has been given its own simple and straightforward plastic cover, just like the one for the AA Book of the Road. It can take a knock or two and makes the book nice and easy to hold. Why all the black-and-white photos have a nasty pink cast it is difficult to say. It was not a reason to leave the book out.
