A comparatively small book published in seven editions (Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese). In it we read of Anne Frank’s world and see the corresponding images alongside the text. Much care has gone into the design, and the thin paper is wholly appropriate: the Diary is never far away. The typography too is well chosen and makes for easy reading. There is something for everybody here: those with no wish to read can look at the pictures or slit open the leaves that have been left uncut. This book has been produced for a large audience and it is timeless. Ten years from now it will still be a handsome little work. In it the visitor to the Anne Frank House takes home a beautiful and compact collection of material that meets a clear demand.
