This book, at first glance, gave me the impression that perhaps it was taking itself too seriously; however, upon reassessing, it has subtle design characteristics that help with understanding the presented content and story, both of which are presented in a non-linear manner. There is extensive visual research in the book, curated and sectioned in a thrilling order, questioning the possibilities of a singular narrative. The design and typography feel very formal and distant, adding to the anticipation and guessing without making the book feel too one-dimensional. The text and typesetting feel well placed around the multiple and diverse image selection in the book, and the added rounded edges of the book contribute to this effect.
