The photo series of hands holding the face of the sheep close, in different positions. Those are the pages I most vividly remember since I was in awe because of it. What a beautifully curated combination of pictures!
Apart from the themes and materials explored within the content of ‘Oltre Terra’, I was intrigued by the tactile aspects of the book just as much. The edges of the pages were adorned with a subtle riff or texture which to me connected heavily to the natural world, perhaps even mimicking the texture of sheepskin itself. This attention to detail, going as far as the very feel of the paper enhanced the sensory journey of exploring this book.
I think from all the books, ‘Oltre Terra’ takes the cake when it comes to inviting me, as a reader, to not only absorb the content intellectually but also to engage with a book physically, offering a deeper connection to the concept and ideas presented within the book! An overall wonderful and educational experience.
