A very intriguing and slightly mysterious image on the cover together with the title creates an impression that makes you wonder about what it is, who this person is, what the book is about. The plastic wrapping around it adds to this sensation, a bit like what a file does to a paper. The book and the layout feels important, just as its content. It is a story about the journey of Leen—a homeless ’t Landje resident, a place where the shelters of Stadsnomaden are located. Every spread is meant to represent a month, we read what happens on the left page in a layout that is similar to agenda. On the right there is often an image. Images and texts are combined in a way to form stories. When time gets stretched you can see the full bleed images. It is done in such a way to give a sense of time passing and waiting without knowing how long it will take. The intention and the layout is very strong, making this book quite impactful for us.
