The Best Dutch Book Designs 2018 selection comes out top in international vote.

News came today that no fewer than four books in the Best Dutch Book Designs 2018 have won prizes in the international judging at the Best Book Design From All Over The World festival in Leipzig.

  • The Golden Letter, the festival’s highest accolade, is awarded to Amsterdams Spul/Amsterdam Stuff by Jerzy Gawronski and Peter Kranendonk (design: Willem van Zoetendaal, production: Harold Strak, Alex Feenstra, Drukkerij robstolk, Boekbinderij Van Waarden, publisher: Van Zoetendaal & De Harmonie | Monumenten & Archeologie Gemeente Amsterdam).
  • A Gold Medal goes to Robert F. Kennedy Funeral Train by Rein Jelle Terpstra (design: Jeremy Jansen, production: Jos Morree, Marc Gijzen, NPN Drukkers, Boekbinderij Patist, publisher: Fw:Books).
  • A Silver Medal goes to Anne Frank Huis by Elias van der Plicht (design: Irma Boom Office, production: Colorset (Marion Pothoff), Lenoirschuring, Boekbinderij Patist, publisher: Anne Frank Stichting).
  • A Bronze Medal goes to The Migrant by Anaïs López (design: Teun van der Heijden, production: Drukkerij robstolk, publisher: Anaïs López).
