Today the 33 Best Dutch Book Designs 2025 are being announced. An expert jury judged the books on their distinctiveness in terms of content, design, lithography, typography, material, printing and binding.
The jury consists of Anniek Meinders (Head Publications Van Gogh Museum), Serana Angelista (designer, artist), Arthur Herrman (designer), Jochem Öfner (management printer RaddraaierSSP) and Kylièn Bergh (researcher and practitioner in the field of graphic design).
The student jury has also selected 33 books, 8 books are the same as the expert jury. The students are Anne-Sophie Berting (ArtEZ), Junghyeok Park (KABK), Sasha Tielbeke (HKU), Tetiana Tishkevych (Minerva), Loren Xu (Rietveld) and Oskar van Zadelhoff (Zuyd).
Both selections will be exhibited at the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam this fall. At the same time the catalogue (NL/ENG) will be released as well.
March 12 the results of the international jury will be published.
