This is a category often characterised by many similar choices in terms of typography, lay-out and choices of materials for the interior. Waar is het lam? stood out immediately, as all aspects of the concept are right and together go to make up a complete work that radiates atmosphere. The typography is powerful in its use of bold type, while at the same time retaining sufficient verve. The 80-gramme paper used for the body is translucent to the extent that the pages enter into a lovely interplay with one another. The tactile nature of the cover, with bold foil printing, is pleasing, and the colour of the endpapers entirely suits the dreamy impression made by this collection. Proof indeed that a focus on design can make all the difference in this category.
